I was travailing down to London on Saturday and took some pictures of St Albans station in it's new colours. Sadly I was asked to stop taking picture for security reasons so I do not have a large number. As Network Rail explicitly allow photography on there stations I am following this up and hope to take some more on a future visit.
This is a small note to let everyone know that the office is officially in morning. We have discovered that the sndwitch bar at Fenwicks in Newcastle has be changed in to a Pret a Manger. So no longer can we call up and have our special sandwiches made up for a treat. :-(
One member of the office has defended the move saying that some people will not be able to walk down the street to the next Pret store and can fully understand the move. We gave him a strange look.

This is another of those things that I found amusing that I appreciate other people will not. We held an event at the Swallow Hotel in Gateshead and I noticed this sign. I considering the fact that the hanging baskets are missing I wonder why they don't just turn it off.
Since I was given my new digital camera at Christmas I have been posting every thousandth picture here. It has been complete chance as to what the picture was and this one may seem rather strange to some. This picture is of the base of a Fon wifi router, or a La Fonera as it is otherwise known. The reason why I took this picture is that it is a convenient way of keeping a record on the product code, MAC address and serial number. The actual details have been edited out using Paint.net for security reasons.
On our way back from visiting the Weardale railway we had an explore to find the wind turbines we spotted on the way. A lot of guess work pursued but we found them around Tow Law and High Hedleyhope, and I naturally took a few pictures for fun. If you are interested in the location of wind farm around the UK you then you might find the BWEA web site usful.
